William "Bill" McCormack

William "Bill" McCormack of Westwood, MA, formerly of Trumbull, CT, passed away peacefully March 17, 2021 in his home at the age of 92. Son of the late William and Mildred McCormack, he was raised in Bridgeport, CT and graduated from Fairfield Preparatory High School and earned a bachelor's degree from College of the Holy Cross. He served in the United States Army for 2 years as a medic during the Korean War and afterwards started working at Acme United Corporation, where he remained until his retirement 40 years later. Bill settled in Trumbull with his wife of 45 years who he adored, Barbara (DeMarco) McCormack, who predeceases him.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Maureen and her husband Scott Sullivan of Westwood, MA; four grandchildren Finn, Shea, Reilly and Cassidy; his brother-in-law Richard DeMarco of Bridgeport; sister-in-law Theresa Cassidy of Ashfield, MA and several nieces and nephews. Bill loved working on his crossword puzzles, watching classic movies and sports, and joining his grandchildren for traditional weekly dinners. He will be remembered for his quick wit, sarcasm, and enduring sense of humor.
