GRIFFIN, Virginia A. "Ginny" (Peters) of Westwood, MA died on April 5, 2022 after a brief illness. Predeceased by her husband, Daniel F. Griffin Jr.
She was the loving mother of Daniel and his wife Madeline of Westwood, James of Canton, Suzanne of Westwood, Michael and his wife Andrea of Dedham, and the late William. Loving "Nana" of Sharon, Thomas, Lauren, William, James, Nicholas, and Owen. Sister of Susan Mariano of NH, Richard Peters of Fla and the late Robert and William.
Graduate of Saint Joseph's Academy of Roxbury and the Chandler School for Women. Retiree from Dedham District Court.
Ginny's favorite moments were baking her always requested apple squares and hermits. She loved family gatherings and summers on the beaches at Cape Cod.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Tuesday April 12th from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning April 13th at 10am in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Westwood. Interment at Old Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ginny's memory to the IAM Strong Foundation at iamstrongfoundation.org.
