CUSICK, Timothy J., of Westwood, MA passed away at Beth Israel Hospital on Tuesday September 20th, 2016 in Boston, Massachusetts at the age of 68.
He is survived by his wife Nona; son Sean and daughter-in-law Sarah; son Ryan and fiancée Sherrie Mersdorf; grandchildren Emma and Caroline; Brother Mike and sister-in-law Barbara. He is predeceased by his brothers Bart and Chris. Tim was born on New Year's Day 1948 in Scranton, PA to Bart and Mary. He graduated from University of Massachusetts in 1970 where he met Nona and they were married in 1974. He had a 30 year career with the McDonald's Corporation, including as an Owner/Operator for 20 years; before retiring in 2000 to spend time with his family.
Tim is remembered as kind, loving, selfless, and generous. He was the glue that held his family together, and was always one to go out of his way to help his friends and family no matter the circumstance. He was an avid golfer, loved to fish, and was a loyal Boston sports fan.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday Oct. 15th at 11am in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Westwood. There will be a baptism immediately following the funeral of Tim's newest grand child, Theodore "Teddy" Joseph Cusick. Following the baptism, all are welcome back to the Cusick family home at 19 Peartree Drive, Westwood, MA 02090.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to The Ronald McDonald House or The First Tee of America.
