THOMAS W. MCKENZIE, 66, of East Orleans, formerly of Westwood and Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Cornwall, Connecticut on January 6.
Survived by his brother James and his wife Linda of Medfield and several cousins. Tom was born on January 2, 1949 the Son of the late John F. McKenzie and Florence Boone McKenzie. He was a graduate of Westwood High School, Quincy Junior College and attended Northeastern University. Tom also served his country as a member of the US Army Reserves. As the son of one of the founding members of the Roving Royal Ladies Cruising Club he developed an early love and appreciation of the water which led him to one of his careers as a yacht captain including as Captain of the yacht "Water Gremlin", the yacht "Impetuous", the yacht "Washuanks", the yacht "Riviera" and the yacht "Skudder." In his other career in the hospitality business he was the former owner of the Cornwall Inn in Cornwall, Connecticut, The Gathering, HG Roosters and Fiddlestix all in Florida. In addition he served as a consultant for a number of hospitality related ventures. Those that knew him know that Tom touched the lives of many people during his careers both on the water and in the hospitality business.

Visiting hours Sunday January 11 from 3-7PM in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home 55 High Rock St. (Off route 109) Westwood.
