Stephen J. Planeta of Westwood, formerly of North Syracuse NY, died October 15, 2009.
Beloved husband of Kathleen M. (Maney) Planeta. Loving father of Nicholas J. Planeta and Kasey C. Planeta both of Westwood. Devoted son of Clement E. and Mary M. (DiNovelli) Planeta of North Syracuse, NY. Brother of June Caro of North Syracuse NY, Judith Joss of Clay NY, James Planeta of North Syracuse NY and Mark Planeta of CT. Son-in-law of Joan Maney and the late Thomas Maney. Brother-in law of Diane, Linda and Michael Maney and the late Eileen Maney. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Monday October 19th from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Margaret Mary Church, Westwood on Tuesday morning October 20th at 10am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery.
Stephen was a U.S. Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran.
