Silvia "Beba" Diaz, of Westwood, MA, passed away surrounded by family on October 25, 2022.

She was born in a small town in rural Cuba in 1931 where she and her sisters enjoyed a serene childhood. Silvia later lived in Havana and married Leopoldo Diaz who predeceased her. After the overthrow of the Cuban government, they fled Cuba, ultimately making their way to Boston. Silvia loved her adopted country and was proud to be an American. She devotedly raised her four children, Leopoldo Jr (deceased), Octavio, Cristina, and Alejandro. She is also survived by their spouses Cornelia Erickson, Paul Foran, Julie Rampolla, and Susan Diaz, as well as her grandchildren Wesley, David, Leo, Anna, Andres, Matthew, and Theodore. She was predeceased by her parents, Dr. Octavio Adan and Maria Josefa Adan, her three sisters, Alicia, Josefina, and Elena, and a granddaughter, Ana. Silvia also leaves her niece Elena and nephew Cesar along with many loving cousins.

Silvia was a doting grandmother, full of wisdom, humor and love. After her children were grown, she volunteered faithfully every day at the local hospital in Key Biscayne and at her Church.

Silvia's love of travel and family brought her many adventures and much joy.

Her deep and unwavering faith served her well and gave her tremendous strength to overcome the many challenges life presented her, always with a loving heart and generous spirit. Her natural kindness and ability to see the good in everyone serves as an inspiration to all who knew her.
