Sheila G. Cummings

Sheila G. (Langdon) Cummings, of Westwood, MA, formerly of Brookline, MA passed away surrounded by her loving family on April 5th, 2024. Predeceased by her husband Eugene G. Cummings whom she was married to for 59 years. Sheila is survived by her five children; her eldest son Michael and wife Michelle, son Paul and wife Jeeraporn Poksupthong, daughter Marilyn and husband Dennis Cummings, son Brian and partner Anthony Shannon, and youngest daughter Diane and husband John Riccio.  Sheila was the devoted “Nana” of 8 grandchildren, Kelly, Sean, Brian, Rachel, Kaitlin, Courtney, Giovanni and Brielle; and blessed great-grandmother to Brooke and Michael. Daughter of the late Thomas and Maude (Carroll) Langdon of Brookline, MA.  She was the beloved sister of Thomas (Buster), Gerard, Virginia and Richard Langdon and the late Patricia Williams.
 
Alongside her late husband Gene, Sheila raised her family in Westwood. Throughout their lives they had lifelong friends that they loved spending time with.  She enjoyed watching and cheering on all the local Boston sports teams and spending her summers in Rexhame. But she found the most joy in the special moments shared with her family. She was front and center supporting her children and grandchildren whether it was attending various sporting events or performing arts.  She truly cherished all of her family milestones and the tender moments in between.
 
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Friday April 12^th from 4-7 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning April 13^th at 10 am in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sheila’s memory to March of Dimes at https://www.marchofdimes.org or the American Cancer Society at https://www.cancer.org.
