Scott R. Foster of Dover, MA, formerly of Milton, MA died peacefully at home April 9th, 2023 at the age of 91. Preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary Lee Foster. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Marjorie A. (Barry) Foster; daughters, Lisa L. Foster and husband Jonathan Feigenbaum, Adrea Foster Dorson and husband Alan. Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth Foster Feigenbaum.
Scott graduated from Byrd High School in Louisiana and then was appointed to the U.S. Naval Academy after which he served four years in the U.S. Navy. He went on to earn a doctorate degree from Boston College Law School, followed by a long and successful career as Patent Counsel for The Gillette Company. Upon his retirement from Gillette, Scott became a partner at Lorusso & Loud, followed by Pandiscio & Pandiscio, PC.
He was active in various organizations including the Boston Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution and The Massachusetts Society of Mayflower Descendants. Scott was also a member of the Navy League, the Navy Submarine League, and the Boston Union Club. He served on the Board of Governors of the Boston Patent Law Association.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Friday April 14th from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning April 15th at 10am in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood. The Funeral Mass can be viewed by signing onto the church’s website. Interment at Highland Cemetery, Dover. Scott was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War Era.
