Ruth L. (Hickox) Spencer
December 3, 1930 — January 30, 2010
SPENCER – Ruth L. (Hickox), of Medfield, formerly of Blackstone, Westwood and Walpole, died January 30th, 2010 at age 79.
Beloved wife for 53 years to Richard A. Spencer. Mother of Warren and his wife Concetta of Plainville, Douglas and his wife Christine of Walpole and Gordon and his wife Caron of Plainville. Also survived by six grandchildren: Cassandra, Nicholas, Maxwell, Zachary, Taylor and Jessica.
Ruth was born in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada and worked for many years as a telephone operator for the Canadian telephone company and for Liberty Mutual in Boston.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Wednesday February 3rd from 2-4 and 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Funeral Home on Thursday morning February 4th at 10am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ruth’s memory to the Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation, 14 Prospect St., Milford, MA 01757.
