Ruth M. (Manning) Gagliard

GAGLIARD - Ruth M. (Manning) of Norwood, formerly of Westwood, 75 years old, died April 1st, 2015. Beloved wife to the late Joseph W. Gagliard for 41 years. Daughter of the late Frank and Ruth (Gilboy) Manning and sister of the late Dr. Frank E. Manning (wife Gail). Devoted mother of Joseph F. Gagliard (wife Marie) of Marshfield, John P. Gagliard of Walpole, William M. Gagliard (partner Jonathan) of Chicago, Robert J. Gagliard of Walpole and Kevin J. Gagliard (wife Chrissy) of Norwood. Loving Grandmother to Toni Marie, Thomas, Jack-Ryan, Joseph, Brian, Katelyn, Charlie and Victoria. Aunt of Carolyn Manning of Jamaica Plain and Lurleen Gannon of Milton.

Born 1939 in Jamaica Plain, Ruth attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Cardinal Cushing College and worked for the Herald Traveler in Boston. Ruth married Joe in 1962 and lived in Westwood for 38 years. She was an active parishioner of St Denis Church as a Eucharistic Minister, CCD Teacher and Choir Member. Ruth also was very active in local organizations providing support for mentally handicapped citizens of Norfolk County. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn, and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109), Westwood on Monday morning April 6th from 8:00 – 9:30am. Following the visitation a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St. Westwood at 10am. Interment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury.
