Roberta Ann McLaughlin

Roberta Ann “Bobbi” McLaughlin, of Norwood, MA formerly of Westwood, MA passed away at her home on Friday, May 26th, 2023.  Born, January 22, 1942 in Boston, MA she was the daughter of the late Robert and Catherine Ryan of Somerville, MA. Bobbi is survived by her husband George R McLaughlin Jr, eldest son Bill McLaughlin and partner Denise Hebert, daughter Suzanne Carroll and husband Ed Carroll of Dedham, MA, youngest son Reed McLaughlin and wife Veronica McLaughlin of Batavia, Illinois, brother Robert Ryan of Hudson, NH, and sister Maureen O’Brien of South Boston, MA.  She was preceded in death by her twin sister Sheila Trudell and daughter in law, Noreen McLaughlin.  She was a loving Nana to Shannon, Billy, Emily, EJ, Kaelyn, Nicole, and Erin.


Along with her beloved husband, Bobbi raised her family in Westwood before moving to Norwood.  Bobbi worked for 20+ years for the Westwood School system in the special education department.  She found so much joy in spending time with her grandchildren and hearing of their latest school accomplishments, career opportunities, sporting events, theater productions and other day to day activities. She also loved her Monday nights playing bingo, Tuesday’s bowling league and always enjoyed lunch dates with her husband whenever possible.  In recent years, having friends and family drop by for coffee chats were something she cherished deeply.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood, MA on Friday, June 2, from 4pm-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning, June 3rd at 10am in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St. Westwood, MA. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery.
