Robert G. West

WEST, Robert G., of Westwood, formerly of Roslindale and West Roxbury, died January 25th, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved wife of Sheila T. (Green) West for 53 years. Loving father of Maureen Shepperson and her husband Scott of Attleboro, Denise Cullen and her husband Bill of Westford and Kelly West of North Attleboro. Devoted "Papa" of Melissa Shepperson and her fiancé Elijah, Matthew and Amanda Shepperson, Patrick and Kaitlyn Cullen and "Grand Papa" to Alexa and Cameron. Brother of Joseph West of Norwood, Sister Virginia West of FL and the late Sister Marie West and the late Richard and William West. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Robert was a beloved sports coach and mentor for 50 years to various teams in the Town of Westwood. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Sunday Jan. 29th from 2-5pm. Funeral procession from the funeral home on Monday morning Jan. 30th at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Timothy's Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood at 10am. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014. Robert was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War Era.
