Robert T. O’Connell, Jr. 58 of Natick suddenly May 19, 2023, at home. He was the beloved husband of Anne Marie (Jackman), Son of Dr. Allan and Julia Engel, loving father of Jacob (Shellie), stepfather of TJ Davis, brother of Christopher (Suzanne) and Jessica (Tim) Lipsky, cousin of John (Amy) Barone. Also survived by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. Predeceased by his daughter, his Doodlebug, Samantha.

 

He was “The Tilemaster” leaving his creative mark on many Massachusetts homes and businesses. He loved his work, saying he never worked a day but got to play with blocks in the mud. Rob was a dedicated member of the Amvets Post 1980, serving as the State Chaplain since 2011, a proud Honor Guard member presenting the colors at many professional sporting events, he proudly led the POW/MIA Missing Man ceremony and worked to raise funds for Special Olympics of Massachusetts through their annual Passion Plunge.

 

He was an avid sports fan of all Boston teams but especially the Patriots, having been married at Gillette. He loved spending time with family and friends, playing guitar, riding his motorcycles, playing darts & softball, spending time at the beach and especially time with his foxyblondyloxy. He made friends wherever he went, enjoying the best of every day with a smile on his face.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Thursday June 1st from 4-8pm. Funeral Services and Interment are private.
