Moore, Robert E "Bob" of Boston, MA, formerly Westwood, MA, Millis, MA, and Milton, MA and summer resident of Shapleigh, ME passed away peacefully on May 18, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Bob was the devoted husband of his beloved late wife Elizabeth Moore (Manning) and loving father to Alice E. Moore and her husband James Connors of Boston; Robert E. Moore, Jr. and his wife Susan of Westwood; the late Elizabeth A. Moore of NH; Lawrence E. Moore and his wife Elizabeth of Mansfield; and Christine Boutilier and her husband James of Wrentham. Bob was predeceased by his parents William F. and Viola M. (Courtney) Moore of Milton and his late brother William F. Moore, Jr of Quincy and sister Mary Dolan of St. Louis He was the beloved Grandpa to Cathleen Connors; Shannon, Colleen and Patrick Moore; Jakob Moore; and Laura, Emily and AJ Boutilier.

Bob was a proud double eagle graduate of both Boston College and BC High who received a Master's degree from Boston State College. Bob served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War on the aircraft carrier USS Leyte from 1953 to 1956. He was injured and survived an on-board explosion in Boston Harbor while successfully leading several men to safety. He married the love of his life Betty in 1959 and raised his family in Milton. An educator all his life, he taught private and public school mathematics at Newman Preparatory School in Boston and for over 30 years in the Stoughton Public Schools where he also transitioned into counseling his students to navigate the college application process. He reveled in his children and grandchildren's lives and achievements and became a favorite to their many friends while fervently supporting and encouraging them to succeed in anything they chose to pursue. He always had a smile and an Irish twinkle in his eye to welcome anyone who came into his orbit and loved to connect and engage with all. Sweets and ice cream were the way to his heart. He achieved a life well lived.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., WESTWOOD on Monday May 23rd from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning May 24th at 10am in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Westwood. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert's memory to support the research into diabetes of Dr Deborah Wexler,
