Robert J. "Bob" Edmondson

EDMONDSON—Robert J. "Bob", 88, of Westwood, MA, formerly of New York City, died February 5, 2018. Born on June 23, 1929 in New York City. Devoted husband of the late Mary Dillon Edmondson. A graduate of the Loyola School, Notre Dame, and Harvard Business School, Bob was a general manager at Time, Inc. who rose to President of its subsidiary PDI, and later was CEO of a Brooklyn-based sharp-tool company. An accomplished cook and wine enthusiast, Bob created exquisite meals for friends and family in New York and Prouts Neck, Maine. He moved to Massachusetts in 2012 to be closer to his children and spent six happy years at Fox Hill Village, surrounded by new and old friends. He is survived by his sister Joan Roome, his son John Edmondson, daughters Amy Edmondson, Lucy Edmondson and Josie Warfield, and six grandchildren. His brother Richard predeceased him in 2009. Visitation February 9th 4-6 PM at Holden, Dunn & Lawler, 55 High Rock St, Westwood. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High Street, Westwood February 10th at 10 AM; Interment private. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Bob's memory to Spence School or Loyola School, both in NYC.
