DeCoste, Robert Age 86, of Dover on January 10, 2019 of complications from mesothelioma. Beloved husband of Mary P. (Finnerty) DeCoste. Son of the late Francis D. and Margaret L. (Lyons) DeCoste. Devoted father of Mary-Michelle DeCoste of Toronto, Canada and Angelique L. DeCoste and her husband James Pitkiewicz of Methuen. Grandfather of Eli DeCoste Makynen of Monteverde, Costa Rica. Brother of Francis D. DeCoste Jr. of Derry, NH; Paul E. DeCoste of Pordenone, Italy; Gail M. DeCoste of Englewood, FL; and Margaret L. Carson of Hollis, NH. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Former head of the Guidance Department at Framingham North High School. Was graduated from Suffolk University, class of 1958, and from the Graduate School of Education at Northeastern University. Additional graduate study at Boston University and Cornell University. U.S Navy Korean War veteran with service aboard the U.S.S. Jeffers DMS-27 in both the Atlantic and Mediterranean fleets. For over 50 years he was a parishioner of The Church of the Most Precious Blood in Dover, at which he served on many pastoral commissions. He was also a Lector and Minister of Holy Communion. Family and friends are invited to calling hours at The Church of the Most Precious Blood, 30 Centre Street, Dover on January 15, 2019. Visiting hours from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Church of the Most Precious Blood on January 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Highland Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to The Society of Saint James (https://www.socstjames.com/donate-today) or the charity of your choice.
