They settled in Westwood, where together they raised their family. He began working in sales but spent most of his career as a carpenter for Howard Brothers Builders until he retired to Mattapoisett in 2004. In retirement, he and his wife enjoyed spending winters escaping New England’s cold weather on Amelia Island in Florida.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Bob loved watching professional and college sports but especially the Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins and Celtics. Very active in youth sports, Bob coached basketball, baseball, and football for many years in Westwood - helping to start the town’s Pop Warner program in 1973.

As per his request, no formal services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org)
