O'BRIEN NUZZOLO, Rita (Cuddy), formally of Roslindale, Norwood, and Westwood died peacefully on August 2, 2016 after a long illness.
She is predeceased by her parents, William and Mary Cuddy; her husbands William O'Brien and Frances Nuzzolo. She is also predeceased by her brothers,
William, John and Robert Cuddy. She is survived by her beloved sister, Connie, and her husband George Boudreau; her children William and his wife Kathleen of Norwood; Susan and her husband Robert Poirier of East Walpole; Stephen and his wife Ruth of Mansfield; Maureen and her husband Richard Leverone of Milford and Diane O'Brien of Millis, She is also survived by Jean Packard, her stepdaughter of Stoughton, her devoted niece Virginia O'Brien and all her nieces and nephews. She also leaves her 18 loving grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
Rita was formerly employed by EPA of Norwood, Social Security of Norwood and the Veterans Administration Hospital in West Roxbury. Rita was a licensed hair stylist, and skilled dressmaker but her priority was her love for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her kindness, generosity, and outgoing personality touched many lives. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Friday Aug. 5th from 4-8pm. Funeral procession from the funeral home on Saturday morning Aug. 6th at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood at 10am. Interment at Highland Cemetery, Norwood.
