Philip E. McMorrow

Philip E. McMorrow of Calabasas, CA, formerly of Westwood MA, died on April 5, 2024. His ashes were interred in “Old” Westwood Cemetery on September 20, 2024.

Phil is survived by his loving wife Heidi Vandenbos McMorrow, his son Philip E. McMorrow II, his daughter Hope McMorrow Griffin who is married to Alex Griffin, and his brothers John Patrick McMorrow whose partner is Nancy LeBlanc Burden, and Stanley Swaim McMorrow, DDS married to Nancy Tataro McMorrow. Phil was the third son of John Patrick McMorrow and Eleanor “Nora” McMorrow who were longtime residents of Westwood.

They were active in the community and parishioners of St Margaret Mary’s Church where Philip was an altar boy and usher. Phil graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School, received an AB degree at Brown University and an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. Phil was featured in Sports Illustrated when as a junior at Brown, he led the Bears to the Ivy League Rugby Championship. Phil was an avid surfer and hiker, an international model, television and movie actor as well as a successful broker and investment manager. Above all he was a family man. He is remembered by his family and friends as a great guy with an infectious sense of hope and optimism. He lived his life to the fullest.
