Paul Higgins, currently of Norwood and formerly of Westwood, died December 31, 2024 at age 51. Paul is survived by his parents, Gerry and Ann (Cussen) Higgins of Walpole; his brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Jan Higgins of Mansfield; his sister and brother-in-law, Tricia (Higgins) and Chris Mullen of Medfield; and his niece and nephews, Brian and Sean Higgins and Lauren and Will Mullen. He also leaves behind many cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
Paul will be fondly remembered for his fun-loving, playful and outgoing personality which brought laughter and joy to all in his presence. He always greeted friends and strangers with a warm smile and his gift of gab. He also cherished his role as a “funcle” both to his own niece and nephews as well as to Ava and Ella, the daughters of his devoted friends, Mark and Heather Karafotias.
Paul graduated from Westwood High School and then Clemson University with a degree in Marketing. He worked in Norwood managing a provider of residential and commercial safes and, most recently, at a supplier of vending services. At work, he was a respected problem-solver known for his conscientiousness and mentorship of co-workers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Friday, January 3rd from 3:00-7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning January 4th at 11 am in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the charity of your choice.
