Patrick J. McGaffigan

Patrick “Joe” McGaffigan, age 89, of Norwood, died peacefully on February 4th.  Born in Somerville in 1934, he was the son of the late Alice and James McGaffigan.  He was the loving husband for over 50 years to the late Ginger McGaffigan (McNeil).  He is survived by his 6 children; Joe of Plymouth; Mike and his wife Olga of Merritt Island, FL; Rick and his wife Lisa of Florence, MA; Theresa Awiszus and her husband John of Medford; Kathy Costello and her husband Matt of Medfield; and Brian of South Boston.  He was also a wonderful grandfather to Declan, Justin, Peyton, Megan, Ryan, and Colin.  He was a devoted brother to his sisters, PeeWee and Mary, and the late Rosie, Betty and Billy. 

Joe always had a smile on his face and would talk Boston sports with anyone he met.  He worked for 40+ years at Whitehall Liquor Distributors.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours at the Holden-Dunn-Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Sunday, February 11, from 2-5pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning, February 12th, at 10am at St Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St, Westwood.  Interment to follow at Highland Cemetery in Norwood.
