RILEY – Patricia Ann (Buchanan), of Westwood, also of Dennis MA & Sarasota FL, died July 31st, 2021 at home, embraced by the love of her daughters.
Born in Arlington, MA on November 14, 1932. Beloved wife of the late Henry Charles Riley, for fifty-two years and loving father of Lauren Riley Myrtetus and husband Jim of Doylestown, PA, Carolyn Riley and the late Julie Riley of Westwood. Proud, loving grandmother of Jimmy, Sean, and Madeline Myrtetus. Sister of her late brothers, Roy and Paul Buchanan. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

Professionally, Pat was an executive secretary at Harvard Trust Company in Harvard Square, Cambridge which is where she met Harry Riley. She also served as Treasurer of the Young Women's Club of Westwood and was involved in many other charitable organizations in the town of Westwood. Pat also loved to play tennis in her free time in Westwood and enjoyed the occasional round of golf in Sarasota.

Pat was loved by all who knew her. She adored her family and was always so proud of her "girls". She was affectionate with her words and actions, making it a priority to show her love to her family. Pat's quick wit and sense of humor always had everyone laughing. She was the "cool mom" who always made people feel welcome in her home. Pat (Grammy) adored her grandchildren and always looked forward to their visits on the Cape where they shared many card games and laughs on the porch! Pat had a special knack for writing poetry and gifted these poems to her family. She was an avid reader and loved working on crossword puzzles. Pat was also a wonderful friend who maintained strong, lasting relationships with many girlfriends over her lifetime.

Pat loved her time spent on Cape Cod where she and Harry enjoyed season tickets to the Cape Playhouse in Dennis. Pat appreciated the arts and loved attending opera and ballet performances in Sarasota. Pat and Harry enjoyed travel taking cruises all around the world where Pat would keep a daily diary.
