Patricia Ann (Stanton) Conley, of Westwood, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026, surrounded by the family she loved so deeply. She was the beloved wife of the late William "Bill" Conley.
Pat was born and raised in Mission Hill, Boston, the daughter of Irish immigrants John and Helen (Finnerty) Stanton. Her Irish heritage was woven into the fabric of who she was: the stories, the music, the faith, and the fierce loyalty of family. She carried those traditions proudly all her life.
She attended Mission Grammar School and Mission High School, and in 1964 she married the love of her life, Bill. They made their first home in Jamaica Plain and then settled in Westwood, where they raised their family and belonged to a community they called home for nearly six decades.
Faith was her foundation. A longtime parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Parish, Pat served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and sang in the choir. Her faith showed most in how she treated others, with kindness, generosity, and humility. After her children were grown, she earned a degree in accounting from Northeastern University and went on to serve the Town of Westwood, retiring as Assistant Town Treasurer.
But of all she accomplished, her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother of four, a loving "Nannie" to fourteen grandchildren, and a cherished great-grandmother to four more. She treasured the holidays and celebrations, and just as much the ordinary days when everyone was simply together.
Her Irish heritage will live on in the music her family hears, the stories they tell, and the traditions they carry forward. Her greatest legacy is the family she loved so completely.
Pat leaves her children, William Conley (Wendy), Joelle Driscoll (Edward), Julianne Bride, and Jennifer Hartigan; her fourteen grandchildren, Patrick (Maddie), Sean (Haley), Ryan, and Lauren Conley; Kathryn, Jane (Daniel), John, and Nora Driscoll; Finnian, Delia, and Esme Bride; and William, Thomas, and Catherine Hartigan; and four great-grandchildren, Walter, Camille, Harold, and Scottie Conley. She is also survived by her sisters, Barbara and Sabina Stanton. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Helen Stanton, and her brother, Jack Stanton.
The family is deeply grateful to the caregivers who tended to her with such compassion.
