ALFIERI, Nancy A. (Mendolia), of Milton, MA formerly of Roslindale, MA and Dennis, MA died April 16th 2022. Beloved wife of the late John C. Alfieri. Loving mother of John and Maureen Alfieri of Medfield, Nancy Alfieri and Jim Mattia of Sedona AZ, Fran Alfieri of Wilmington, VT, Joe Alfieri and Candace Colbert of Dedham, Paul Alfieri of South Easton, MA and the late James /Arjuna Alfieri and his wife Catherine Gillies of Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. Cherished grandmother of Ana, JC, Marita, Michael, Lauren, Sophia, Joe, Christina, Maria, Julia and Paul and great grandmother of Chloe, Johnny, Brooke and Dallas. Nancy was pre-deceased by 3 sisters, 1 brother and is survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Nancy and her husband John dedicated themselves to raising their six children. They were very involved with both church and school activities at Sacred Heart in Roslindale.
Nancy and John retired to Cape Cod where they developed many wonderful friendships and memories. Family beach outings and hours with the senior softball league were especially special.
Nancy loved to crochet "bookworms". She was overjoyed to see the big smiles on children's faces as she passed them on to hundreds of young readers.
Nancy was also an avid cribbage player. She had the patience to teach so many others the game. She has so many grateful friends at Fuller Village in Milton, MA that still play and never forgot who taught them the game.
Nancy was also an entertainer. She never passed on an opportunity to sing, dance and make people smile.
Nancy had a special love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she always knew exactly what to say to make them feel special and loved.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Friday morning April 22nd from 8 am – 9:30 am. Following the Visitation, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood at 10am. Interment at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Dennis, MA.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital, or a favorite charity of your own, in remembrance of Nancy, would be welcome.
