LUONGO, Michael Louis, of Westwood, MA, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at the age of 59, born on November 28, 1954. Beloved husband of Sauson Luongo. Adored father of Ashley, Evin, and Kendra Luongo. Also survived by his dear brother-in-law, Hani Malek, his wife Julie, and their three children Audrey, Grace, and Noah Malek.
Michael spent his professional career in the packaging business, and was revered by his colleagues in the industry for being the quintessential corrugated box salesman. Michael's dedication to his professional career is reflected in the fact that he began as a forklift driver and was able to work his way up to owning his own packaging company. Outside of the professional sphere, Michael was the ultimate family man and consummate giver. Everything that he did, he did for his wife and children. If Michael had an opportunity to give to anyone for any reason, he seized that chance. Mike Luongo will be remembered by all who knew him as a sports fanatic and die-hard Red Sox fan.
A wake will be held in the Holden-Dunn-Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock Street, (off Route 109) Westwood, MA on Sunday, January 12 from 2-5 p.m. Services at Trinity Community Church, 234 Walpole Street, Norwood, MA on Monday, January 13 at 10 a.m.
