Melania B. (Guzewicz) Downey

DOWNEY – Melania B. (Guzewicz), of Westwood, MA died July 4th 2010 at age 100. Beloved Wife of the late John Downey. Beloved Sister of the late Adam Guzewicz, Jessie Halnon and Helen Gould. She is survived by loving nieces and nephews and their extended families.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Visitation in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Saturday morning July 10th from 8:30 – 9:30a.m. Following the Visitation a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, Westwood (on Route 109). Interment will take place at a later date in St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville CT.

Melania “Mollie” began a 50 year Nursing Career at Pondville, Norfolk, MA working primarily at Mattapan State Hospital near Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Melania’s memory to the charity of your choice.
