Mary Rita (Kelley) O'Toole

April 27, 1926 — February 1, 2021

O'TOOLE, Mary Rita (Kelley), age 94, of Westwood, MA (formerly of Milton and Lowell), passed away peacefully on February 1st.
Born and raised in Lowell, the daughter of the late George and Louise (Leonard) Kelley, Mary Rita graduated from Keith Hall High School in 1944. Mary Rita loved spending time with her parents and with her younger sister, the late Louise Sullivan. She was also a former employee of the Metropolitan Insurance Company.

Mary Rita was married to her beloved husband, the late Michael J. O'Toole, for 40 wonderful years. The couple enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida and to Mike's homeland of Ireland, in their retirement. A devoted Catholic, Mary Rita loved to sing in the choir in her younger years and would watch as many as three Masses a day when she was unable to attend in person. Mary Rita is remembered for her devotion to her children and grandchildren, for her infectious laugh, and for the joy she brought to all holidays and family gatherings. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Mary Rita leaves behind her daughter Frances DeLorey and her husband Mark of Westwood; her son Peter O'Toole and Bette Creighton of Marshfield; and her daughter Annmarie O'Toole of Dorchester. Mary Rita is also survived by her grandchildren Caitlin, Kelley, Jacqueline and Daniel DeLorey of Westwood and Mike O'Toole of Marshfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catholic TV (www.catholictv.org).
Due to current pandemic restrictions, a private service and Catholic Funeral Mass at St. Margaret Mary Parish will be held for immediate family.
