Mary J (Doyle) Purcell, Age 84, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 29th, 2021 at Care Dimensions Hospice House in Lincoln, Massachusetts.
Mary is survived by sister Sheila (Doyle) McMahon and husband Edward, of Norfolk; brother Kevin Doyle of Milton; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Thomas (Tommy) and Edward (Amy) Doyle and former sister-in-law Jean Doyle. Predeceased by parents Mary (Kelley) Doyle and Dominick Doyle and former spouse Carlton L. Purcell.
Mary was born on November 15th, 1936 in Boston, MA, to Mary (Kelley) Doyle and Dominick Doyle, both of Ireland.
Mary's life was entirely devoted to her family. Mary had a very special quality of making everyone feel as though they were the only person in the room and had such a gift for listening and offering words of wisdom to each and every person she touched, especially her grandchildren. Mary had an extraordinary sense of faith and ingrained that in her family. She had many friends that she cherished and loved bringing people together.
She leaves behind five loving children: Monica Lannan of Medfield; Coleen Saliba and husband Hamid of Methuen; Brian Purcell of Westwood; Maura Purcell of Medfield; Kelly Bauman and husband Michael of Dedham. She also leaves behind sixteen grandchildren: Nicole, Alissa and Lauren Lannan; Jamel Wakim and husband Jon; Najib Saliba and wife Odette; Brandon Saliba and wife Nadezhda; Ryan Purcell; Brittany Molloy and husband Michael; Hayley Purcell; Zachary Cox and wife Lindsay; Jacob Cox; Thomas Barnett; and Kayla, Evan, Mia and Max Bauman. She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren: Fiona and Gwen Molloy and Jakson Jon Wakim.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 9th at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church in Westwood, Mass. A wake will be held Tuesday, June 8th from 4-7 p.m. at Holden-Dunn-Lawler Funeral Home in Westwood.
