Mary Davey Morley

June 29, 1958 — May 30, 2026

Wareham, MA

Mary Davey Morley, of Wareham, formerly of Westwood, passed away May 30, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Jeffrey Morley for 28 years. She was the loving mother of Kristen Morley, of Wareham, Adam Morley and his wife, Ayla, of Rochester, and Erik Morley and his wife, Marilyn, of Wareham. She was the proud grandmother of Eva, Cadence, Emma, Erik, Abel, Amos, and Colin.

Mary was the beloved daughter of John and Ellen (Craig) Davey of Westwood. She was the beloved sister of Joseph and Annemarie Davey of Canton, Ann Davey and Louis Love of Naples, Jane and Dean Andrews of Norwood, John and Katherine Davey of Norwood, and Faith and Reid Kimball of Dighton. She was the dear sister-in-law of Robert and Elizabeth Morley of Northbridge and Susan Morley of Roslindale. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, as well as Mary’s loyal canine companions, Reacher, Spenser, and Margaux.

Mary was a gifted attorney who found great joy in working alongside family. She began her career with her parents, John and Ellen Davey, at Davey & Davey, and later teamed up with her sister Ann at National Right Of Way. A dabbling pianist and devoted music enthusiast, Mary blended her passion for music with her legal practice, representing local musicians as well as a few nationally known acts, including the Dropkick Murphys, Black Eyed Peas, Bob Marley, and the Raindogs. Through her work in entertainment law, Mary gathered an eclectic circle of colorful, lifelong friends, whom she often considered part of her extended family.

She was deeply committed to the people she helped, always leading with passion and a genuine desire to know and connect with those in her path.

At home, Mary was the soul of the family. She filled every room with so much warmth and laughter and had a special way of making even the simplest gathering feel like a celebration. Holiday dinners became unforgettable the moment she served a famous Morley dessert, instantly elevating the meal to Michelin status.

Mary had a remarkable gift for finding joy in life's simple pleasures: a ripe peach from her own tree, a sunny afternoon by the pool, a dog happily settling into her lap, a favorite Hallmark movie, or yet another viewing of The Sound of Music. She brought warmth and creativity to every gathering, adding special touches to holidays with festive decorations, a new dessert recipe, or thoughtful details that quietly said, “Welcome! We’re so happy you’re here.” Her joy was infectious, and her kindness unforgettable. Mary had a unique ability to make people feel seen, at ease, and deeply loved.

Music was her heartbeat, and she often shared it, inviting us to hear a new song, go to a show, and encouraging us to sing joyfully, even if we sang out of tune. Music was a social event and an opportunity to find happiness in being together.

Mary will be deeply missed, but she will never truly be gone. She will live on in every song we sing, every holiday meal we share, every story we tell, and every moment of happiness we choose because she taught us how.

We love you, Mary. Thank you for the music, the laughter, the love, and the light.
