Mary Margaret Dullea

d. June 5, 2017

Dullea, Mary Margaret, of Westwood, died peacefully at home on June 5, 2017, beginning a well-deserved rest after a life well spent. If the measure of success in life is loving and being loved, then Margaret's life was a triumph, leaving behind a legacy of generosity and selflessness, as well as family and friendships spanning miles and generations.

Margaret was predeceased by her parents Joseph McCleary and Gladys Sullivan, brother Joseph Warren McCleary, husband Bernard and infant daughter Mary Ann. She leaves behind a loving extended family including five sons: Bernard and wife Lorilee, Joseph, John and wife Siobhan, Paul and wife Karen, Robert and wife Chandra. She also leaves her cherished grandchildren Jon, Tripp, James, Liam, Quinn, Maggie, Jack and Claire as well as her beloved niece Anne McKenna, a loyal friend and regular presence in her life who was like a daughter to her.

For over twenty years Margaret worked for the Town of Westwood Assessors Office, serving Westwood residents while cultivating many deep and abiding friendships with fellow town employees. Following her retirement she continued to serve the community on the board of the Westwood Council on Aging and as a volunteer at Glad Rags charity thrift shop.

Margaret was an iconic figure in the town of Westwood, for generations a regular presence about town or on the sidelines and bleachers of her kids' and grandkids' sporting events and performances. She was a woman of great generosity and faith, and a longtime member of St. Margaret Mary's Parish where she served as a CCD teacher and administrative volunteer.
