Marie R. Smith of Norwood, formerly of Westwood, passed away peacefully on May 23rd at Benchmark Assisted Living facility in Norwood at the age of 90. Marie was the devoted mother of her cherished son, Tom, who passed away in 1991. Marie was a longtime Teacher at Boston Latin School until her retirement.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St. Westwood, on Wednesday, June 1st at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Marie's Memory to the Tom Smith Scholarship, c/o Westwood High School, Att: Brian McEachern 200 Nahatan St. Westwood, MA 02090. Checks made out to Westwood Community Scholarship, with a notation "Tom Smith Scholarship".
