Margaret M. “Peggy" (Clifford) Monac

March 28, 1917 — April 24, 2011

MONAC – Margaret M. “Peggy” (Clifford), of Westwood, died April 24, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Ed Monac. Survived by Peggy Miller and her husband Arthur of Mystic, CT; Ted Monac and his wife Clare of Dennis; Joyce Monac and her husband Greg Resker of Wrentham; Ellen Cosgrove of Silver Spring, MD; Clifford Monac and his wife Susan of Medfield; and Terry Vanslette and her husband Paul of Upton. Sister of the late Thomas Clifford of Norwood. Also survived by 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109), Westwood, on Wednesday, April 27, from 4 pm to 8 pm. The funeral will begin at the funeral home Thursday, April 28, at 9 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Mary Church at 10 am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy’s memory to your local chapter of the American Red Cross or to the St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Peggy was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, a crossing guard for the Town of Westwood for 17 years, and an active member of both the Westwood Garden Club and the Westwood Women’s Club.
