Lynne Susan Harrington

September 17, 1957 — December 7, 2025

Westwood, MA & Dennis Port, MA

Lynne Susan (Colpitts) Harrington, of Westwood and Dennis Port, MA, passed away on December 7, 2025, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous eight month battle with cancer. Beloved wife of Brian Harrington. Loving mother of Jamie Holden (Timothy) of Westwood, MA, Sara Nassif (Richard) of Voorheesville, NY, and Kerri Cayer (Andrew) of Wrentham, MA. Cherished grandmother (“Gram”) to Connor, Erin, and Margaret Holden, Jacqueline and Elizabeth Nassif, and Logan and Lucy Cayer. Adored sister of Scott Colpitts (Tammy) of Newark, CA, Craig Colpitts (Carol) of Milford, MA, and Todd Colpitts (Niamh) of Cape Elizabeth, ME. Lovingly survived by a niece and nine nephews.

Lynne was born in Boston, MA on September 17, 1957. The daughter of the late Ralph and Marjorie Rose Colpitts (Winch), she was a graduate of Westwood High School and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. It was growing up in Westwood where Lynne met the love of her life, Brian Harrington. They were married on October 4, 1981, moving back to Westwood where they would raise three daughters in the town they both loved.

Lynne was an elementary school teacher in Westwood Public Schools for many years. She was loved within the community and made many great friendships, the strongest of which was her beloved bookclub - a group of her closest Westwood friends who continued their monthly meetings for thirty years.

Nothing gave Lynne greater joy than her family. Her most cherished moments were those spent with her grandchildren. Throughout her life as a mom and Gram, Lynne was a constant presence on the sidelines of sports fields and in the auditorium for recitals. She loved hosting gatherings for family and friends, the house always filled with laughter. Cape Cod held a special place in Lynne’s heart, spending every summer enjoying the beach, Chapin’s, and happy hour on the porch. Lynne’s neighbors on Quartermaster Row were her Cape Cod family, enjoying special July 4th celebrations over thirty-three years.

Lynne was a constant source of joy to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
