Louise Marie Toland

Louise M. Toland (Burke) of Westwood, MA passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on May 21, 2026. She was 91 years old.

Louise was the beloved wife of Richard C. “Dick” Toland with whom she shared 69 cherished years of marriage. She is survived by her husband Richard; her son Richard Jr. (Joan) and her son Paul; her grandchildren Julie and Joseph (Maddy); and her great grandchildren Jack & Riley.

Louise was born and raised in Roslindale, MA, the only child born to her parents, Thomas and Angela Burke. Louise was a graduate of Boston College Class of 1956, and taught for decades at the Sheehan School in Westwood, MA where she was a strong advocate for her students.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Thursday May 28th from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood on Friday May 29th at 11am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery.
