NIHEN – Lois E., of Westwood, age 77, died December 14, 2010. Beloved mother of John Nihen of Boston, Jerry Nihen and his wife Colleen of Rocklin, CA and David Nihen and his wife Patricia of Westwood. Devoted grandmother of Jerry, Katie, Kelly, Samuel and Jacob. Sister of Marie Stapleton of NYC and Carol Kelly of Hyde Park. Aunt of Charles Stapleton, Nancy Washburn, Wendy Lance and Richard and Mark Kelly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Friday Dec. 17th from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Saturday morning Dec. 18th at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Denis Church at 10am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery.

Lois was a graduate of Cardinal Cushing High School and Emmanuel College, Class of 1954, a retired Department of Defense Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Hanscom AFB for 25 years and was active in her retirement as a realtor and also as a telemarketer for the American Red Cross Donor Call Center in Dedham.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lois’ memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, 10 Brookline Place West, Floor 6, Brookline, MA 02445.
