Lillian H. (Leonard) Poirier, of Westwood, formerly of Sarasota and Venice FL, passed away on September 26th, 2012 at the Ellis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Norwood at the age of 97. Loving wife of the late Walter L. Poirier, Sr. for 60 years. Born and raised in Dedham, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Minnie (Hemming) Leonard. Lillian is survived by her two children and their spouses; daughter Sandra L. and her husband Richard Sansone, Sr. of Norwood and a son Austin W. "Bill" and his wife Kimberly Poirier of Walpole and the late Walter L. Jr. and Diane H. Poirier. Grandmother of Richard Sansone Jr. of New York, William Sansone and his wife Jackie of Wellesley, Michael Poirier of Dedham, Andrew Poirier and his wife Erin of Franklin and William Poirier of Walpole. Great grandmother of Ayla and Brayden Sansone and Lily and Elise Poirier. Sister of Mary W. Petrozzi and the late Gertrude Lilly both of Westwood. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Sunday Sept. 30th from 2-6pm. The funeral will begin at the funeral home on Monday morning Oct. 1st at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Mary Church at 10am. Interment at Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham. Lillian worked for many years as the cafeteria supervisor in Westwood High School. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lillian's memory to the Westwood Lions Club Eye Research, P.O.
