Lillian E. CONWAY

CONWAY, Lillian E. (Raila), of Franklin, MA, longtime resident of Westwood, MA, died January 22, 2022. Lillian was granted her well-deserved rest after many long years of illness. Beloved wife of William G. Conway. They recently celebrated 69 years of marriage.
Loving mother of Rosemary E. Conway of Medway and William J. Conway of Boston, and their spouses William M. Goodwin and Patricia J. Conway. Devoted grandmother of Madeline, Caroline and Will.
Lillian was the eldest yet last surviving sibling of her adored brother John Raila, sister Bernadine (Raila) Landis, and baby sister Dorothy (Raila) Carpenter, all of whom she protected and cared for during their Depression-era childhoods in Philadelphia, PA. Godmother to Donna (Carpenter) Morrissey and Joseph Landis of New Jersey.
Also survived by many other loving nieces, nephews and friends. All who knew her loved her wonderful smile, elegant style and beautiful singing voice, as well as her generosity, determination, and devotion to the Roman Catholic Church. Lillian loved to laugh and especially shined when surrounded by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Thursday January 27th from 5-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning January 28th in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood at 10am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery.
