Lester F. Boyd

Lester F. Boyd, of Westwood, MA, died January 22, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth D. “Betty” (Ellsworth) Boyd. Loving father of Dianne M. Boyd of Brockton and the late Stephen Boyd and the late Thomas Boyd and his former wife Brigid. Cherished grandfather of Jessica Steenbruggen and her husband Joseph, Kaylie Boyd, Owen Boyd, Thomas J. Boyd Jr. and Erin Boyd. Great grandfather of Travis and Daniel Steenbruggen and Kenzie Boyd. Loving brother of Margaret Brown of CA and Florence Davis of FL. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Lester was the former owner of Boyd and McGowan Insurance Agency for many years and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War Era. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Thursday February 1^st from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning February 2^nd at 11am in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St. Westwood. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lester’s memory to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, c/o St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St. Westwood, MA 02090 or to the charity of your choice.
