On the morning of December 5, 2023, Laura Lynn Hill, at the age of 40, passed away suddenly during childbirth in Raynham MA. Her daughter, Liana Lynn, will forever be her last and greatest act of love. Please continue to send strength and love to help our family move forward without our guiding light.
Laura’s radiant energy held your attention from the moment she arrived. Born July 11, 1983 at Bryn Mawr hospital, first born child of the late John Y. Hill and Barbara Lobb Hill Forney. Laura grew up in her hometown of Exton, PA, while attending Downingtown Area School District, graduating high school from Downingtown High School in 2001. At Penn State University, Laura earned her BS in Biobehavioral Health/Health Policy Administration in 2005 and MBA in Biotechnology and Health Industry Management in 2011.
Laura’s strong work ethic speaks for itself. Accepted as an undergraduate in Biobehavioral Health, in the first class for a new degree at PSU. Once graduated from PSU, her skills were first used as a Research Associate for Centocor till 2006. While working on her Masters, she went on to Lead Studies at American College of Radiology till 2011, Lead Projects at ICON till 2014, Senior Client Relationship Manager at Covance till 2021, and since 2021, an Associate Director Project Manager at PPD at Thermo Fisher Scientific.
Laura’s bright smile and laugh was infectious. She filled our souls with love daily. She valued family and friendship, always taking the time to stay connected with everyone who loved her. Laura was a true friend and remarkable hostess, always warming your heart with sincere questions as she caught up with you over a delicious spread. So many of us lost a best friend.
As a child she loved playing soccer and softball for LYA and school teams. Laura continued to nurture her mind and body with literature, whole food, yoga and CrossFit as she got older. Daily walks with her family & Daphne were a staple. We will continue to see her beauty as we visit the places we walked by her side.
Laura loved smelling, hearing and seeing the ocean - in Rehoboth Del & Sea Isle City NJ every summer as a child to vacationing in Cape Cod with her own children and family. Her love for traveling grew as she visited Brazil & South Korea for work, Barbados & Oregon with friends and Europe with her partner Shane. Some of Laura’s favorite places to visit included Italy, France and Switzerland.
Laura’s passion for music was present her entire life - from being 1st chair violin to attending countless live shows - she never missed a Sunday show. Laura met her partner and father of her children Shane, late night, after The Baker’s Dozen in NYC. From there, their love grew as they took on life together, living in Boston during the birth of their first son Luciano, to living in Philadelphia during the birth of their second son Nico, to purchasing a home for their children in Raynham MA. Laura fell in love with being a mother, she was present, affectionate and intuitive. Laura filled her home with stacks of books and vinyls to absorb. May her children forever be connected to her through all her favorite songs & literature.
Laura wanted a simple life for her children. It was a priority to show her children how to grow nutrient dense food on their land, plant luscious annual gardens for the honey bees to thrive and support your local community and farmers.
Laura’s ability to manage and prioritize goals for herself has led her to have a full life during her short time here. She was robbed of future adventures with her children that she had envisioned. While she is not here physically with us, we know she will always be with us. May she watch over us always.
Laura is survived by her three beautiful children, Luciano D’Annunzio (4), Nicodemus James (3) and newborn Liana Lynn Manozzi, her rescue dog Daphne, her mother Barbara Lobb Hill Forney (Quakertown PA), her sister Kayla K. Hill (Coatesville PA), her grandparents Charles & Pam Lobb (Exton PA) and her partner and the father of her children M. Shane Manozzi (Raynham MA), and numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins who loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her father John Y. Hill, grandparents Eugene & Susan Hill and grandmother Martie Wright Lobb.
Laura’s children will forever be our connection to her earth side. To forever honor her, we promise to continue to raise her children uninhibited with Laura’s love, strength, wisdom and knowledge, as they grow into wholesome, generous individuals.
