Julia (Letsch) Roche, age 88, of Westwood, MA passed away peacefully on Friday, October 7, 2022. Julia was born in Nuremburg, Germany on January 29, 1934. Julia and her late husband Lawrence B. Roche, Jr. were married in Montreal on December 20, 1958.
Cherished daughter of the late Karl and Kunigunde (Greißil) Letsch. Loving mother of Lawrence Denis Roche of Westwood, Juliette Kathleen Bearse and her husband Ed of Centerville, Ronald C. Roche and his wife Karen of North Attleboro and Robert G. Roche and his wife Kathleen of Walpole. Devoted grandmother of Brendan, Stephen and his wife Megan, and Joey Bearse; Lauren Boyer and her husband Patrick and Nicole Roche and her fiancé Shane LeBlanc; and Michael and Elisabeth Roche. Sister of Renate Heimbach of Nuremberg, Germany and aunt of Daniele Heimbach also of Nuremberg, Germany.
Julia was a devoted and caring mother who loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, which she often did at her home on Cape Cod. The impact of her selfless dedication to family will transcend her lifetime with us. Julia was also a lover of animals and nature; and spent countless hours in her garden.
There will be no visiting hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Timothy's Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood, MA on Wednesday morning, October 12th at 10:30am. Interment private. Donations may be made in Julia's memory to the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
