MUMFORD- Judith M. (McNamara), of Westwood, died Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Norwood Hospital. She was 75.

Judith was the devoted wife of James G. Mumford, children Lee M. Peterson and her husband, Jason, of Dedham and Gregory Mumford, and his wife, Julie, of Jamaica Plain and grandchildren, Gunner, Avery and James. Judith was born in Waltham, one of twelve children born to the late James and Mary (Walsh) McNamara. She was a graduate of Saint Mary's High School in Waltham and Saint Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing in Nashua, New Hampshire. She was a registered nurse who worked tirelessly often putting herself second to care for others. Judith leaves her sister Sheila Breen of Waltham and generations of nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Msgr. Eugene P. McNamara, Eileen Keefe, Ita Delorey, Jane Bergin, James McNamara, Jr., John McNamara, Edward McNamara, Thomas McNamara, Alfred McNamara, and Anne Touchstone. Judith is also survived by her best friend, Maria Jebari of New Hampshire.

Family and friends will honor and remember Judith's life by gathering at St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High Street, Westwood where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning May 9th at 10am. Burial will follow at Milton Cemetery, Milton. Memorial donations may be made in Judith's memory to Catholic Charities, 51 Sleeper St., Boston, MA 02210 or at www.ccab.org.
