PULLMAN – Josephine A., of 177 Strasser Avenue, Westwood, MA, died Tuesday January 4th at Norwood Hospital. Mrs. Pullman was 92 years old. Born Josephine Bohondoney of Methuen, MA on September 21st 1918.
She is survived by her son Hugh Arvin of Milford, NH, her grandson James Arvin of Latham, NY, her granddaughters Sheila Wiedemann of Waldorf, Germany and Wendy Mahan of Worcester, MA, and her great grandchildren Melanie Wiedemann, Robert Arvin, William Gereau, Tamara Callanan, Stephen Kentel, Kaitlyn Kentel and Tyler Alan Porter.
Jo Pullman was known widely for her teaching abilities connected to the game of golf. She was self-employed as a teaching Pro with state wide recognition and was an active contributor to the sport for over 40 years. She was quite successful starting countless students toward the artful expression of the game.
Josephine was a long standing member of the congregation of the First Baptist Church of Westwood and a loving mother, grandmother, teacher and friend. To all whom she touched she is in some ways irreplaceable and will be sorely missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Sunday January 9th from 2-6pm. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the First Baptist Church of Westwood, 808 High St., Westwood on Monday morning January 10th at 11am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery.
