McNAMARA - Joseph P., of Westwood, formerly of Quincy, died April 21st 2016.
Beloved husband of Lucy D. (Devlin) McNamara for over 20 years. Loving father of Joseph J. and Bridget L. McNamara both of Westwood. Wonderful and loving husband and father; loyal and true friend. Devoted son of the late James Gerard and the late Elizabeth McNamara of Quincy. Brother of James McNamara of Quincy, Thomas and Mary McNamara of Weymouth, Anne Muise of Sharon, the late Patricia McNamara of Quincy, and Elizabeth and Paul McDonald of Norwood. Beloved uncle of many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Dedicated pharmacist at Veterans Administration Medical Center Brockton and West Roxbury. Graduated in 1982 from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock Street (off Route 109) Westwood on Monday, April 25th from 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning April 26th at 11:30AM in St. Timothy's Church, 650 Nichols St., Norwood. Interment to follow at New Westwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's memory to Patient Care Services of Hematology/Oncology, BIDMC (Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Medical Center), 330 Brookline Avenue, Rabb 430, Boston, MA 02115. Attn: Tanya Leger: Joseph McNamara.
