Mazzola, Joseph A., of Norwood, formerly of Westwood, died July 11th, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of Jill A. (Glennon) Mazzola for 44 years. Loving father of Andrea and Matthew Connolly of Westwood, Amy and Paul Hodson of Acushnet, Lauren Mazzola and Lauren Kot of Wrentham, and Michael and Jennifer Mazzola of Newton. Devoted grandfather of Jenna, Rylie and Jillian Jenkins and Robert Hodson. Brother of James Mazzola of Dedham and the late Lucille Geran of Newton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Wednesday August 2nd from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday morning August 3rd at 10am in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood. Interment with military honors at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne on Friday August 4th at 10:45am.
Joseph was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran and a member of the local 600 MassBay Transit Authority.
Donations may be made in Joseph's memory to the Children's Inn at the National Institute for Health (NIH), Bethesda, MD.
