LOBOSCO, Joseph V. of Henderson, NV, formerly of Westwood and Fort Myers, passed away peacefully October 30th, 2013 at the age of 81 at his home in Henderson. Husband of 54 years to Dora F. ( DeVasto ) Lobosco, father of Antoinette (Tony) Calderone of Westwood, Marcia (Robert) Sicard of Franklin and Joseph (Teresa) Lobosco of Henderson. Proud Grandfather of Cristina, Danielle, Daniel, Anthony, Ryan, Jaclyn, Samantha and Casey. Son of the late John and Porzia Lobosco, brother of Isabella (Guido) Guarino. Brother in law of Marie Lobosco. Brother of the late John Lobosco, Anthony Lobosco, Eleanor ( Lobosco ) Hickey. As well survived by many nieces and nephews in and outside of the Boston Area.
Joe was born in Albany, NY in 1931, grew up in the Boston area and graduated from English High School in 1949. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War from 1951-1954 and was married to the late Antoinette ( Padula ) Lobosco. He accomplished undergraduate and graduate degrees in Education from Boston University in 1958 and 1960 respectively. He was a teacher and guidance counselor in Newton and Needham Public schools for many years before moving on to a career in Real Estate. Having built many homes in the suburbs of Boston, he was most proud of the apartment building on North Street in Medfield, he left his mark for many years to come. A Board Member of the Builders Association of Greater Boston and Chairman of the Board, Trustee of Life Resources of Catholic Charities he was proud of his accomplishments as he headed into retirement. He spent the last 12 years with his children and grandchildren, visiting with old friends, making new ones, golfing in Florida and Nevada and watching Boston sports teams win more championships than his 69 years previous.
He was fortunate to accomplish many things during his lifetime with the help of so many friends and family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St. (off Route 109) Westwood on Friday Nov. 8th from 4-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood on Saturday morning Nov. 9th at 10am. Interment with military honors at New Westwood Cemetery.
