Joseph F. Filippone

Joseph F. Filippone, of Westwood, MA, died Monday, January 30, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of the late M. Arlene (O'Day) Filippone. Loving father of Susan Pinelli and her husband Gianni of Millis; Paul Filippone and his partner Thomas Tymon of Worcester; Mark Filippone of Westwood and Beth Stresser and her husband David of Lake Forest, IL. Devoted grandfather of Noah, Evan, Jonathan, Lucy and Clio. Brother of Concetta Alduino of Jamaica Plain and the late Phyllis Wells, Gilda Filippone and Mary Filippone. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Sunday, February 5th from 2-6pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 6th at 10am in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Westwood. Interment with Military Honors at New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's memory and sent directly to Friends of the Westwood Council on Aging, 60 Nahatan St. Westwood, MA 02090. Joseph was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII.
