Joseph J. Bruno

Bruno, Joseph J., of Westwood, died peacefully September 14th, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was 78. Beloved husband of Eleanor (DeBenedictis) Bruno for over 60 years. Son of the late Joseph and Josephine Bruno of Westwood, formerly of Roslindale. Loving father of Patricia Bowlin and her husband Gregory of Norwell, Pauline Bruno of Marblehead, Joseph Bruno and his wife Kathleen of Medfield and James Bruno and his wife Lynn of Westwood. Devoted grandfather of Joseph, Isabella and Sophia Bruno of Medfield and Olivia and Jack Bowlin of Norwell. Brother of Angela Goodwin of Millis, Mary Joan Brady of Franklin and Louis Bruno of Dedham. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Joe was an avid gardener and fisherman, and he loved to travel. His greatest gifts were his kind heart and sense of humor. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., WESTWOOD on Thursday Sept. 20th from 4-8pm. Funeral procession from the funeral home on Friday morning Sept. 21st at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood at 10am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe's memory to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute of Boston.
