John F. Dold

DOLD – John F., of Naples, FL, formerly of West Roxbury, died September 24th, 2011.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Camille G. (Comite) Dold; by his children, Karen Dold and her partner Nancy Agnew of North Carolina, Susan Herman and her husband Chris of Norwood, John Dold and his wife Rose of Medfield, and Michelle Seery and her husband Tom of Connecticut; by his grandchildren, Mark, Lindsay, and Laura Herman, Matthew, Alex, and Jessica Dold, and Ryan and Jonathan Seery; by his sister, Mary Travis of Needham, and by many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Rita Harris and Joseph Dold.

John was devoted and very dearly loved.

We invite relatives and friends to celebrate his life with us, at visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., (off Route 109) Westwood on Sunday October 2nd from 2-5 p.m., and at a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday October 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St John Chrysostom Church, 4750 Washington St., West Roxbury. John was a decorated U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII; interment will be at the MA National Cemetery, Bourne on Monday October 3rd at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to Fisher House Boston (which provides temporary housing to families of veterans under VA Hospital care in West Roxbury), P.O. Box 230, South Walpole, MA 02071.
