DAVEY – John P., Attorney, of Westwood, formerly of Canton, died September 8th, 2015. Beloved husband of Ellen (Craig) Davey for 59 years. Loving father of Joseph M. Davey and his wife Annemarie of Canton, Mary Davey Morley and her husband Jeffrey of Wareham, Ann M. Davey and Louis Love of West Virginia, Jane P. Andrews and her husband Dean of Norwood, John J. Davey and his wife Katherine of Foxboro, Faith E. Kimball and her husband Reid of Westwood, the late Peter C. Davey and loving daughter-in-law Kathleen Davey of Westwood. Brother of Katherine D. Murphy of Naples, FL, Edward Davey of Bourne and the late James and Eugene Davey. Also survived by 19 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
John was a proud graduate of Boston College High School, Boston College and Boston College Law School. He was an Assistant Attorney General, a lawyer in private practice for many years, a founder of the Irish American Partnership and the author of the acclaimed suspense novel "The Dark Side of Bunker Hill".
There will be no visiting hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning Sept. 12th at 10am in St. Denis Church, 157 Washington St., Westwood.
