John F. "Jack" Cawley

Cawley, John F. "Jack", of Medfield, formerly of Dorchester, died suddenly on February 20, 2018. Beloved husband of Theodora "Thea" (Pitsiokos) Cawley for 23 years. Loving father of Catherine, Helen "Eleni", and James Cawley. Brother of Elaine Cawley Hill of Cumberland, R.I., Peter Cawley and his wife Phyllis of Canton, and Mark Cawley and his wife Pat of Canton. Son-in-law of Catherine Pitsiokos of NY. Brother-in-law of Peter Pitsiokos and his wife Michelle of VA. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Jack was principal of John F. Kennedy Middle School in Waltham for 14 years and formerly worked at Watertown Middle School and McKinley Preparatory High School in Boston. He was an avid sports fan and lover of music.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., WESTWOOD, on February 26th from 4-8 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning (2/27) at 10 AM in St. Edward the Confessor Church, 133 Spring St., Medfield. Please omit flowers, donations may be made to the Edelman lab for cardiovascular research at MIT at https://giving.mit.edu/john-cawley.
